We all know and love the singer, and American Idol judge Katy Perry with her top hits! Such as Dark Horse, ET and Firework! But what we might not all know is the rumor that she may be JonBenet Ramsey!

JonBenet Ramsey!

Jon Benet Ramsey was born on August 6th 1990, she was a child beauty pageant winner but unfortunately at the only age of six JonBenet was killed in her home of Colorado. Some of the theories were that she was killed by her own father, her own brother or that someone came into the house in the middle of the night and unfortunately took the life of the little girl. But what is the biggest rumor is that JonBenet was not killed but Kidnapped! And grew up to become one of the world’s most beloved singers Katy Perry!

The theory!

The NYUlocal talks about a theorist who talks about what he thinks of this, “JonBenet was not killed but Kidnapped (apparently as a part of some sort of Illuminati conspiracy) her parents staged her death and later resurfaced in 2008 with the hit “I Kissed a girl.” Another theories went as fas as saying that their eyebrows were the same so they had to have been the same person.”

De-bunked Rumor

The theory has been de-bunked and was found that a person in jail named “Gary Olivia confessed through a series of letters to a former high School classmate to her murder and saying that it was an accident.”

What Color is that?!

Do you remember in 2015 when someone took a picture of a dress and posted it to twitter and it went viral!!!!! Everyone was arguing over what color it was it’s “Blue and black!!!!” “No it’s white and Gold!!!” People even made YouTube videos that were about this dress and debating whether it was blue and black or white and gold. So my question to you is…….. What color do you see?????

Photographers!

I interviewed a friend of mine named Hanna about her photography and with interviewing her I have found myself relating and becoming more inspired in continuing my own photography!

  1. What gear do you use? I shoot with a Nixon D7100 and use a variety of lens.
  2. Among your works which one is your favorite? My favorite shot would be one that I shot while at the 2017 Westfield International Air Show and it’s stop-action shot of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds doing the knife-edge pass maneuver
  3. What is one thing you wish you knew before taking photos? Honestly I think the importance of composition in photos and how it can really make your photos pop.
  4. What photographer do you look up to? I look up to a ton of National Geographic photographers their images stun me every time! I am also a huge fan of military photographers! I feel like a new appreciation for them every day!
  5. How would you inspire other to get into photography? Honestly, just get out there with your camera and shoot! Start off with the basics and take it from there! Don’t think you need super high-tech camera to shoot a great photo, it’s hard work that goes into making a photo, not the camera!

In my opinion I believe photography should be loved by others not just for observing but for taking and an answer that Hanna has given I believe really makes my point clear is “you don’t need high-tech equipment to take the perfect shot its the hard work that goes into taking it not the camera! And I think at times that might be what’s holding others back from getting into photography at least that is what held me back because I always believed that the technology is what made the photo not what went into finding and taking the photo! So get out there and take as many photos as you can because there is just so many things to capture and it starts with a single click of a button!

A new blog to check out!

I am really starting to enjoy this website because I am able to reach out and see photos taken by other photographers and every time I look at someone’s photographs I am always amazed at their creativity. A blog that I’ve been able to observe who has such great talent is the blog named “Connecting beyond” the author of this blog is named AmyRose and her photography is at another level of creativity. Her attention to detail is so amazing a few of her posts that I really enjoyed reading one being titled “Transcendental” the flowers on this post it seems as though you can see every little bit of it instead of just the flower itself. On this post she took a photo of one of my favorite flowers called the Bleeding heart and because the photo is taken so well you can see every little tiny detail that the beautiful flower comes with.

Another post of hers that I really enjoyed reading is titled “Ode to Mother“ and in this post she has taken photos of flowers and plants that have been covered in ice and just by looking at it not only do the objects look frozen because the photos are taken so well it feels as though the time is frozen as well. With each photo I can see every little detail of the ice that has entangled itself around the leaves and plants.

As a beginner I like to think that I am continuing to learn to focus on the detail of my photos so that I can give my viewers a chance to create a story in their minds when they look at my photos. Just like I am able to when I look at Amy Rose’s photography.

Hey that’s mine!

When it comes to photography it might be a little harder to find out if you have plagiarized someone else’s photography then it is to see if you have plagiarized someone else’s written word. With these few steps you can avoid plagiarizing someone else’s work!

Rules to help you avoid plagiarism

  1. Always cite where you get your photos from! Photographers work really hard on getting their content so always make sure you are giving the credit they deserve!
  2. Use royalty free images instead! If you are trying to post images to a blog, or any type of post use royalty free photos instead of having to go out there and trying to find who made the photo! Some links you could use for royalty free photos are

3. Do a background check on any images you may use! There are other ways in which you can see if the images you are using are taken from a photographer by doing something called a reserved search because instead of looking for that image you are searching by that image. 4. Take your own Photos! Use your own photos! Instead of using someone else’s work try getting your own out there!

So Have fun taking your photos or making your blog posts but always remember to cite your sources!

Golden Hour!

When everyone thinks of golden hour we think of that perfect time just before sunset. When I was taking this photo I was on a cruise on my way to Bermuda and I found what I thought was the a similar photo to what I would consider the golden hour. It was right before sunset the sun was bouncing off the water just at the right time where the water was calm and the sun bright and vibrant. But as a beginner photographer myself I always believe that there is always a way you can improve on photography and I believe that for the golden hour this video gives great tips on how to set up the camera and when to finally take that shot.

Golden hour is probably one of my favorite times of day, but I do not always know when the right time to take that perfect photo but I think with this video and enough practice I think that eventually I might be able to take that perfect photo!

Learning something New!!

There are many photography bloggers that I believe that overtime I can continue to learn from a blogger that I believe is a great informative for photography is the blog Expat Journal: Postcards from the edge. A specific post that he made that I believe really stood out was the one titled; Photography 101: Not what but How you see in this post a quote that really stood out to me was “I am fortunate to visit many exotic locations that others only dream of but to others your location might be exotic.” I believe that this quote really stands out because as a beginner photographer I would love to be able to find a place that is considered exotic and take as many photos as possible, but what I need to realize is that others in this world find where I live to exotic and he describes exotic as being different. So when I see others are taking photos of things that I would skip over I should remember even though that tree, or park bench is so familiar to me it could be something so different to someone else. I believe that this blog is very informative on photography, to help photographers get the bigger picture and help change our perspectives of the everyday norm. I’m New to this!!

I am very new to photography and very new to this website word press over the few weeks that I have had this blog I have been able to check out photography made by others. Many photos that I have seen have been amazingly shot and I have them to learn from. A blogger that really stood out to me was the blogger Leah J Smith one of her posts that really stood out to me was her landscape photography, landscapes are probably one of my favorite things to take photos of and in her post she is taking photos of when she went to go visit North Carolina in October and how she was able to get a pictures of the leaves changing colors. She writes a little about what is in her photos, but I also think that because her photos are taken so well the pictures does a lot of the talking. These are just a few of my photos that I have taken over the years that I have gotten into photography! I love taking my phone or my camera with me wherever I go because I love taking photos! It’s my favorite thing to do when I go somewhere new I get to remember these moments forever by having these pictures! I can’t wait to see what places I get to go to next and I can’t wait to see the photos I get to take!

This photo was taken when I went to Italy my Junior year of high school

“Vivere una vita bella” (Live a beautiful life) This photo was taken in Italy of 2015 when I went with my graduating class! It was an experience of a life time that I won’t forget. This photo was one of the many photos that I have taken on this trip!!



I took this photo in one of my favorite vacation trips in Maine I go there every year with my family and friends and every year gets better than the last! The sun was just about to set and we were walking in the down town area and I felt like I saw the never ending possibilities in something as simple as the railroad tracks .



I took this picture at my favorite childhood place in a town not too far from mine I go there every now and again on summer days. To remember the past but also to embrace the future that is ahead of me. This picture will forever be one of my favorite photos!

This photo I took for a project for my art class back in high school, but ended loving this photo. The beach is my favorite part of summer and I can’t wait for it to finally be summer soon!

“Find Beauty in the small things” This photo was taken on a school trip around a town near where I live and because it was during the spring all the best flowers were out there! And I could not just walk past this beautiful flower without snapping its picture!

Skills to help improve: Photography!

Skill #1: To help with blurry photos! Use manual focus to help improve the details in your photo. First you have to figure out what you want focus on once you found it press on the shutter button halfway. This will help tell your reader what you are trying to focus on and where you want their eyes to be drawn to.

Skill #2:To help with uninspired composition! When trying a composition technique you should remember the rule of thirds this will help your photos pop! In order to make something in the rule of thirds break down the photo into 9 equal parts and put a part of your image into each one. This will help create a new captivating photo.

Skill #3: To help with Sheepish Subjects! For this skill you will need to photograph the person, or thing at eye level even if that means getting low to get a picture of a child walking down the side walk or a pet sitting on the ground. But that also means that if you have a taller subject then you might have to get something like a foot stool or a ladder to help get a photo of it.

Skill #4:To help with washed out photos! Use as much natural light as possible! Even if you are inside look for a window that brings in the most light! And try to take photos during Golden hour to really get that “golden effect!”
